cherished souls: a celebration of extraordinary people.
There are so many nice people in this world. If you can't find one, be one.
There's a study that says the top five people you spend the most time make up your personality. You adopt traits and qualities from them, whether that be consciously or subconsciously.
Oh, I hope that's true because I would give ANYTHING to be as strong and fearless as some of favorite people.
I am so incredibly blessed with some of the most genuine, real, and beautiful souls in the world as my best friends. I was given a home in each one of them & are so grateful for every second I get to be with them.
I'm starting a new series of sorts (this is part one) celebrating the phenomenal people in my life. I wouldn't say I have one best friend, one friend that surpasses the rest of them. This isn't a ranking at all, & it's only part uno. But I love to write, and what better thing to write about then the people you love? They inspire me more than anything.
All pictures are my own. (:
CAROLINE WADE.
My heart is bursting when I think of trying to sum up Caroline Wade in a couple of words- it's almost impossible, but I'll give it my best shot. She's so herself twenty-four seven. She doesn't care what others think of her- it's what makes her so unstoppable, and in my opinion, is one of the absolute best traits one can ever possess. Cara is also kind to everyone no matter what. Seriously, someone could walk up & hit her in the face with a bat and she wouldn't say a single bad thing about them. Cara is also one of the funniest people I know. We have the same humor, and she brings out the crazy in me. We always stay up late at night, getting into all sorts of trouble. I adore her humor & find that it's always so genuine. Everything about Cara is genuine, and she inspires me to be real in an increasingly plastic world. Cara has also seen me at my absolute craziest, saddest, and weridest and is still my friend. She's seen me dancing on the bathroom sink at camp at 4:00 A.M and doesn't think less of me. She makes me want to be a better person when I'm around her. I seriously couldn't be luckier to have this girl in my life!
Kate McKenzie Bass.
The literal human barbie doll also happens to be one of my best friends. I'm not exaggerating at all- the flawless hair and skin that tans within 0.5 seconds of being exposed to sunlight- the perfect figure. She's a Malibu Barbie. She's also the human embodiment of sunshine. I chose this picture because it's so joyful- it's so reminiscent of what makes Kate so Kate. I'm constantly laughing with her. We scheme so much together and I know I can always always count on her to make me laugh until my stomach hurts. She came into my life in a time where I needed it most- and she's never let me down since. She's so bright & gorgeous but never ever seems to notice. When she thinks of herself, she doesn't see what everyone else is clearly seeing. I love Kate so very dearly & she is one of my favorite people on the planet. Thanking Heavenly Father on the daily for giving me this friendship full of adventure, laughs, and constant smiles.
Audrey Ruth Morgenegg.
I think Audrey was an angel in another life. She's an angel in this life, as well. I am so undeserving of this friendship- Audrey is always there at the times I need her most. If I showed up at her house at 3 in the morning, balling my eyes out, I knew she'd let me in immediately, & do whatever it takes to mend the problem. She'd sit with me and talk it over until the break of dawn. That's her talent- she is selflessly kind. When Audrey walks into a room, she searches for people who are having a difficult time and tries to make them feel loved. She's constantly surrounded by a group of people who are attracted to her magnetic kindness, myself included. She understands me and knows me, all of me, and drops everything to listen. Her stunning interior matches her exterior- she's absolutely gorgeous but never sees it. I've known Audrey since we were infants and every time I see her I still can't get over her tremendous beauty. & on top of her kindness and beauty, she's absolutely hysterical. I'm always doubled over in fits of laughter when we're together. Audrey is so funny without trying. Her persona is hilarious. I'm so thankful to have a home in her & the wonderful Morgenegg family. I will always love Audge.
Cece Townsend Hammond.
I met Cece when I was an awkward eleven year old trying out for dance team. I had a ton of acne, could barely stick a double pirouette, wore way too many things from Aeropostale, was obsessed with one direction (okay okay, I still am, for that matter), and was so unbelievably clueless. But Cece was my partner in crime from the very beginning. Despite how painfully weird and awkward I was, she became one of my best friends and confidants instantly. From sixth grade to the present, Cece has been one of my most cherished friends. We are so alike, & I always find that she brings out the best in me. She gets me without me even having to explain. And to be quite honest, she was my saving grace in middle school. I always go to Cece when I want to laugh until I can't breathe, or if I need to vent about boys or about sucky people. She's also been so fiercely loyal despite me making huge changes to my life- last year was one of the hardest years of my life but she still always picks up the phone. She's incredibly honest, caring, and is one of the funnest people on the planet. I always have an amazing time when we're together, and quite honestly, she's much more of a sister than a friend. Some of my favorite memories ever were made laughing and scheming with Cece.
More celebratory posts of amazing humans, and how they make the world a much better place, are in the making. I love you guys to to the moon.
